Dr. Arturo Ortigosa-Blanch
Dr. Arturo Ortigosa-Blanch obtained the Physics degree in the Universidad de Valencia and then moved to the Department of Physics of the University of Bath in the UK where he got his PhD working on optical fiber systems and fiber fabrication. He was awarded with the Derick Chesterman Medal of the Department and the PhD prize of the Institute of Physics. Then, in 2002, he moved back to Valencia and worked for two years in the Applied Physics Department of the Universidad de Valencia where he continued working on optical fiber fabrication and devices. Then, in 2005, he moved to the iTEAM Research Institute at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia and heads the research on cryptography and quantum key distribution there, focusing on fiber based key distribution system and its implementation using available optical telecommunications devices.
